About Andrea

Like you, I have also experienced the pain of difficult times.  Counselling has helped me to find the real me, helping empower me to change career paths and to help others.  My own life experiences mean that I know how it feels to be worried, depressed, sad, angry and just overwhelmed with life.  I know what feeling ‘not good enough’ can do to your soul.

I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Attachment-Based Psychotherapist.  I’m insured to offer counselling services safely and ethically.  I have vast experience working with adults who have suffered a range of life events and challenges from anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and bereavement.  I have worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and childhood trauma.  It is an honour and privilege to support you.

In addition to my counselling qualifications, I hold a business degree, have worked in the corporate world for many years, am (now) happily divorced and am enjoying the ‘wonders’ of midlife.  I am continually deepening my skills and knowledge, with a particular interest in attachment styles. It is liberating to understand how childhood attachment to our primary caregiver can affect the relationships we have in adulthood.

I feel that my life began with my counselling journey – perhaps it is time to invest in you and begin your journey too.
