About Andrea

I have also been through some difficult times (as you may be right now), and counselling has helped me to find the real me, so much so that I felt empowered to change career paths and train to help others.  My own life experiences mean that I know how it feels to be worried, depressed, sad, angry and just overwhelmed with life.  I truly know what feeling ‘not good enough’ can do to your soul.

I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I’m fully insured to offer counselling services safely and ethically.  I have vast experience working with adults who have suffered a range of life events and challenges from anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and bereavement.  My specialism is working with survivors of domestic violence, various forms of abuse, rape and childhood trauma.  It is an honour and privilege to help you.

In addition to my counselling qualifications, I hold a business degree, have worked in the corporate world for many years, am (now) happily divorced and am enjoying the ‘wonders’ of peri-menopause first-hand.  I am continually deepening my skills and knowledge, with a particular interest in attachment styles. It is liberating to understand how childhood attachment to our primary caregiver can affect the relationships we have in adulthood. My thirst for knowledge enables me to be a better counsellor, so I can then help you to truly understand yourself.

I feel that my life began with my own counselling journey – yours can too!
